Hello, Birders! Tell me, what kind of heron is this? And does it really have only one foot?!

Well.. I believe that it is a great blue heron.. and if it was me.. I would be alternating feet...as one gets hot..then i would put the other one down.. and switch back and forth.. but since I am not a bird... nor really a birder.. just an interested scientist type person.. that is my educated guess ...
I agree. I think it is a great blue heron as well. Sometimes birds rest on one foot. It is sometimes a sign of comfort with their surroundings, ets. Often birds stand on one leg when sleeping.
